Laura Lagano
"As a registered dietitian, I’ve come to the world of functional medicine organically -- I followed the path that my children set for me. The road has been bumpy, yet rewarding. The experience of raising a child with a history of seizures, apraxia, learning disabilities, and a host of developmental issues has provided deep insight into my life as both a professional and a parent. Like most parents, I began my quest for our daughter’s treatment in the conventional medicine world -- the allopathic model in which I was trained. When she was younger receiving services from physical, occupational, and speech therapists, I realized that I, too, as a nutritionist was part of my daughter’s therapy team. I reflected on my initial interest in nutrition, which concerned the relationship between food, behavior, and cognition. The path became illuminated. It was the beginning of our daughter’s holistic healing and provided me with the real life experience to guide other families."
Clearly, Laura’s experience as both a mother and a nutritionist is invaluable and authentic. She absolutely comprehends the complex challenges that families with neuroatypical children face daily. Additionally, as a registered dietitian with training in functional medicine, Laura has the credentials and the skills to counsel children with special needs. Laura is at the top of her field in translating complicated scientific information into practical solutions.

Dr. Dwight Lundell
"Throughout my career as a cardiac surgeon, I have performed thousands of heart surgeries. Most of these could have been prevented. In my professional opinion if you want to prevent or minimize the damage of heart disease the best thing you can do is take sufficient quantities of a high quality omega-3 supplement.”
Given the amount of time he has spent on the front lines of the battle against heart disease, it would be natural for Dr. Lundell to be jaded. But he is not. He is hopeful and he is forward-thinking. That is why we respect him so much, and why we are lucky to have him lend his perspective and authority to our efforts.

Hyla Cass
"Nutritional deficiencies can contribute to chemical imbalances, like anemia
and hypothyroidism, which in turn can lead to anxiety, insomnia and depression.”
“Indeed, the last few years have seen increasing numbers
of studies finding that specific nutrients can help manage, and even reverse,
depression, along with anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),
schizophrenia, and even autism. One of the most compelling, a study from
Harvard, found that omega-3 fatty acids in conjunction with medication worked so
powerfully on manic depression that the study was halted so every subject could
take them.”
These quotes from Dr. Cass show why we are so excited to be associated with her. Through her study and experience, she has seen first-hand what nutritional deficiencies can do. In addition to her knowledge, Hyla brings a truly unique perspective and presence to every interaction. It is a pleasure to work with her.

Ian Newton
Ian has been a pioneer in the area of nutriceuticals, specifically Omega-3s, for many years. He lends us great perspective and connectivity, for which we are grateful.
The Global Organization for EPA and DHA (GOED), which Ian helped to establish, is at the forefront of continuous efforts to elevate Omega-3 to the status it deserves that of a nutrient unequivocally essential to good health. Ian’s vision has played a crucial part in the consciousness raising that has already taken place, and continues to spread across North America.
